This rainwater harvesting system is designed to be used for irrigation around the yard. Based on the initial analysis this system can harvest approximately 80,000 litres annually using a 4540 liter (1000 imp gal) rainwater tank. The flat roof design of this home required the use of both interior drains and exterior drains allowing for full frontal glass exterior across the front of the home.

Tank Installtion

As this is a non-potable system all hose bibs are identified with visible signage warning of Non-Potable Water. The use on non-potable water must be done with much care and attention to ensure public safety.
